Who are you and what is your role in Jet Fuel Review?
My name is Alexandra Martinez and I am currently a prose and assistant layout editor for Jet Fuel Review.
Describe your perfect reading atmosphere.
My perfect reading atmosphere is in my room (preferably when it’s clean) and with minimal background noise besides one of my favorite playlists going at a soft volume. I can honestly read anywhere if I am engaged enough, but nothing beats being in the comfort of my own space. If I had to choose another atmosphere, it would be outside in the sun.
What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?
I have no shame admitting that I can always reread any books from my middle school-teenage years. The Hunger Games is heavily trending right now so I’ve been tempted to reread those.
What book might we find on your nightstand right now?
I am currently waiting to start reading Where the Crawdads Sing after my sister introduced me to the new movie.
If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who would you most like to meet? Why? If I could have coffee with any fictional character ever, it would probably be Schmidt from New Girl. There definitely would be way more laughing, and perhaps arguing, than coffee drinking but it would be a great time.
