Welcome, blog readers, to another bi-weekly round-up of blog posts. I hope you had all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you celebrate the holiday. Before I move on to the blog posts, I want to remind you about the latest issue of the Jet Fuel Review! On November 21, we released the sixth issue of the Review, which boasts writers who hail all the way from Kolkata, India to San Francisco, California. I would encourage you check out the new issue for exciting poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and art. You can even get the new issue in e-book form!
A few weeks ago, we posted a bit of Writing Advice all about inspiration. The gist of this post is that it’s important not to sit around waiting for inspiration; you have to just write! Our Discussion post that week covered indie bookstores that you might consider supporting during this holiday season. They’re a dying breed and they need our business! The featured poem that week was Love Poem, by Jennifer Maier. We featured another editor from the Jet Fuel Review, Stephanie Raga. And we announced the launch of our sixth issue!
This past week, we kicked things off by featuring another one of our editors, Audrey Heiberger. The Writing Advice post was all about setting realistic goals for yourself when writing. If your goals are completely unattainable, then you’re only going to get discouraged! The Discussion post talked about another Awesome Literary Thing — bookish Thanksgiving decor. Admittedly, this post is now a bit late, but check it out for tips for next year! We featured another editor at mid-week, Ryan Arciero. And the featured poem was Haiku for My Father, by Matthew Sweeney.
Hope you enjoyed these blog posts. Stick around for more this week!
– Jet Fuel Blog Editor, Mary Egan
