Jessica Jordan
Welcome back to another edition of Meet the Editors! This week we’d like to introduce Jessica Jordan, Jet Fuel’s Managing Editor. Jessica is a junior at Lewis University. Her major is English Language Arts and Literature with a minor in Spanish. She enjoys reading all types of stories and novels, there is not anything that she would not mind trying to read. Besides reading constantly, she enjoys being active and loves yoga and scary movies. Jessica is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta and currently is interested in getting into the publishing industry after graduation. We hope you enjoy getting to know Jessica!
Who are you and what is your role in the Jet Fuel Review?
My name is Jessica Jordan and I am currently the managing editor at Jet Fuel Review.
What book might we find on your nightstand right now?
I tend to read multiple books at once depending on the amount of free time I have. Currently you can find Witch Child by Celia Rees, One for the Money by Janet Evanovich, and The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen.
If you had the chance to co-write with one author, who would you choose? Why?
If I had the opportunity to co-write with an author is would probably have to be C.S. Lewis. I have always been intrigued by his Chronicles of Narnia series, which I can read numerous times and still get lost in the text.
Describe your perfect reading atmosphere.
My perfect reading atmosphere is lying outside on a blanket.
What might your personal library look like?
My personal library would have a wide variety of genres. The walls would be covered from ground to ceiling with shelves of books. There would be different types of arm chairs and couches strewn about with pillows and blankets.
If you could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a book, what movie would it be?
I think that to this day the film based on a book that I was most disappointed in would be many of the Disney princess movies, specifically Cinderella. I had read the Grimm brother’s version at a young age and to me that was the origin of Cinderella and all the other fairytales. Although remaking it may be a little macabre for children.
What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?
I can always pick up The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis. The plot and idea for the story and beginning of the series never seems to get old to me.
Give us a quote from your favorite (or any) book/movie.

If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who would you most like to meet? Why?
If I could have coffee with any fictional character it would have to be Peregrin Took, because throughout the Lord of the Rings series he was the comic relief. He never gave up and was a good friend. Plus, I think it would be really cool to meet a hobbit.
