Good afternoon, blog readers, and welcome to 2015! I hope that you all enjoyed the holiday season. I was personally very glad for some relaxation, but now it’s time to get back to work here on the blog. First things first, the 8th issue of the Jet Fuel Review is available now for your reading pleasure. The Jet Fuel editors worked very had to put together this latest issue last semester. If you’re looking for some new and interesting poetry, fiction, or non-fiction to read, be sure to check out this latest issue.
As we were on a holiday break, not much has gone on here at the blog since the last editor’s notes post. We did have a Writing Advice post that discussed stepping away from writing and the possibility of returning. You can always come back to your creative projects, even after a lengthy hiatus. A hiatus is sometimes necessary, so don’t feel like you’re abandoning your work by simply taking a break.
We also featured the poem Pluralities by Ralph Adamo here at the blog. And just before the holidays, we published a review of The Black Hour by Lori-Rader Day. This captivating crime novel, written by an author active in the Chicago crime writing community, was reviewed by Dr. Dawn Walts, who teaches English at Lewis University. Be sure to check out that review. You might even find your first read of the new year!
I hope you’re all enjoying 2015 this year, and I hope you’ll stick around for a new semester of content here at the Jet Fuel Review‘s blog.
Happy New Year!
– Jet Fuel Blog Editor, Mary Egan
