Happy Friday, readers! Welcome back to our Friday Meet the Editors series. Today we are featuring blog editor Victoria Vega. Victoria is a senior at Lewis University, majoring in English with minors in Theatre and Social Media Marketing. In her free time, Victoria loves to write, watch documentaries, and drink tea. Who are you and what is your role in the Jet Fuel Review?
I’m Victoria Vega and I am the Blog Editor and Assistant Marketing and Development Editor at the Jet Fuel Review.
What book might we find on your nightstand right now?
Right now, the first Game of Thrones book is right next to my bed. It’s been there for quite a while now but I’m still barely making a dent in it!
If you had the chance to co-write with one author, who would you choose? Why?
Oscar Wilde, all the way. He is an extraordinary person, so to be able to not only interact with him but write with him would be pretty rad. I have so many questions for him!
Describe your perfect reading atmosphere.
I have this thing where I need complete silence in order to read so I can soak everything in without distraction (weird, I know). So that basically limits me to my room, on my bed.
What might your personal library look like?
My personal library is a mixture of my books from school since I like to keep a lot of the ones from my English courses and the classics!
If you could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a book, what movie would it be?
As I Lay Dying. James Franco wrote and directed it in 2013 and I couldn’t even get through the whole thing. There were a ton of close-ups of James Franco’s face, which isn’t a bad thing unless you’re messing with a really famous Faulkner piece.
What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?
This is cliché, but I could re-read The Catcher in the Rye a bajillion times and not get tired of it. It’s so, so good.

If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who would you most like to meet? Why?
Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I think we’d be BFF’s.
