Happy Friday, everyone! We’ve finally reached our final editor for this semester in this series! This week we have Armon Thurmond, one of our Assistant Poetry editors, and also one of our Assistant Blog editors.
Armon is currently a freshman at Lewis University. He is majoring in biology and hopes one day to become a physical therapist. His poetry has been published Blind Literary Journal, Straynotions and Messenger. He currently is working on a poetry blog, and writes short stories on Figment. Armon freelance juggles and reads fantasy novels in his free time. He enjoys watching Steven Universe, everything that is anime, and trashy reality TV.

Who are you and what is your role in the Jet Fuel Review?
My name is Armon. I’m an assistant blog and poetry editor.
What book might we find on your nightstand right now?
Everything from classical to contemporary books. It also includes manga and graphic novels.
If you had the chance to co-write with one author, who would you choose?
E.B. White
What might your personal library look like?
Anything by E.B. White, and comic books.
If you could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a book, what movie would it be?
The Golden Compass
What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?
E.B White’s Charlotte’s Web

If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who would you most like to meet? Why?
I would love to meet Frankenstein’s monster from Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. Frankenstein was one of the first novels I read on my own. The monster’s dark and tortured soul was what what kept me reading the book as a nine-year-old. I would love to experience all that darkness for myself.
