Sigh. 2016 continues to bear terrible news in the way of important musicians passing away unexpectedly.
As I’m sure you’ve all heard, music superstar Prince passed away this past week at the young age of 57. Even as someone with fairly limited exposure to his music, simply realizing the impact that the man had on the musical landscape for so many who’ve come after him left me absolutely crushed upon hearing of his death. The outpouring from the entirety of the music community after his death alone shows the man’s endless influence.
For his own reasons, in his later years, Prince worked hard to keep his music out of the internet’s reach, so unfortunately there’s nothing to pluck from his long discography on Spotify.
Even still, this Jukebox goes out to one of the greatest performers of all time.
RIP Prince Rogers Nelson.
