Zach Meredith

It’s Friday, and with that of course comes another installment in our “Meet the Editors” series. This week’s highlighted editor is Zach Meredith, who is stepping in as our new Art anf Design Editor.

Zach is a senior studying graphic design with a minor in marketing. In his spare time, he designs, listens to music, and plays basketball, but art and fashion are his true passions. Zach has been designing clothing since high school and has been running a clothing brand for almost two years. He plans to run his own fashion label on a larger scale in the future.

Below is our Q&A with Zach:

Who are you and what is your role at Jet Fuel Review?

I am Zachary Meredith, Lewis Student, graphic design major, marketing minor. I am the Art and Design Editor for Jet Fuel.

What book might we find on your nightstand right now?

The latest issue of Esquire.

If you had the chance to co-write with one author, who would you choose? Why?

I would co-write with Pharrell Williams because I like his perspective on the world.

Describe your perfect reading atmosphere.

Laying in bed with a movie playing silently.

What might your personal library look like?

Lots of autobiographies, photography books, and design books.

If you could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a book, what movie would it be?

I would remake The Scarlet Letter.

What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?

This list I found online titled “How To Be Miserable as An Artist.”

Give us a quote from your favorite (or any) book/movie.

“A real man handles his business. A real man takes care of his family.”
— Mitch, Paid In Full

If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who would you most like to meet? Why?

I would love to meet Sincere from Belly. I wish i had a friend so knowledgeable, optimistic, and soft spoken.

  • “Superfly” directed by Gordon Parks Jr.
  • “The Warriors” directed by Walter Hill
  • “Juice” directed by Ernest R. Dickerson
