What book might we find on your nightstand right now?
A book that you might find on my nightstand right now is The Toll (Arc of a Scythe) by Neal Shusterman since it is my current read.
If you had the chance to co-write with one author, who would you choose? Why?
If I were to have the chance to co-write with another author, it would be Julie Berry. The way she writes romantically while also articulating a few complex subplots would be a skill I would love to learn to accomplish proficiently, especially since I would like to one day publish my work.
Describe your perfect reading atmosphere.
My perfect reading atmosphere would be within a library in a hidden nook by a large window overlooking a bunch of trees with the rain pounding against the glass. There would be a curtain, of course, blocking me out from reality so I can focus on the story.
What might your library look like?
My library would have dark oak shelves with books lining the walls, all of them in alphabetical order by author with a sliding ladder. It would have a blue couch with a white blanket draped over it and a large window on the side of the room.
If you could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a book, what movie would it be?
If I could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a book would be “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Pecuilar Children.” That story deserves justice.
What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?
One piece of literature I can reread over and over again is Jurassic Park by Michael Chriton. This book had a big impact on me enjoying reading.
Give us a quote from your favorite (or any) book/movie.
A quote from one of my favorite movies is “You can’t live your life for other people. You’ve got to do what’s best for you, even if it hurts some people you love.”
If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who would you most like to meet? Why?
If I was invited to have coffee with any fictional character, I would want to meet Tony Stark because he had so much character growth throughout the years. He went from someone who had no idea what their purpose was in life besides partying and living it up, to one who literally became the hero in the end. I would like to learn more about how he went from a closed-minded person to and open minded one.
Share your top five favorite pieces of writing (anything included, be it movies, books, etc.).
