It’s Friday, dear readers, and you know what that means! We have yet another entry in our “Meet the Editors” series. This week we have a post on Caitlyn Quinlan.
Caitlyn is currently a sophomore and an early childhood education major, with a creative writing minor. She selected her minor because of her love of creating stories and the art of writing. She is an avid watcher of Friends and Game of Thrones, and is aware of the large difference in genres between the two. She loves to dance like no one is watching (when in fact there are people watching) and she also likes spending time with her family and friends. She is involved in ministry programs at Lewis University. She is excited for the day she is a mixture of Jessica Day from New Girl and the countless inspiring professors and staff members she has come across at Lewis University. She hopes to not only educate her future students, but to also open their hearts to the potential of their creativity.

Who are you and what is your role in the Jet Fuel Review?
My name is Caitlyn Quinlan and I am Assistant Marketing and Development Editor, and Assistant Art & Design Editor.
What book might we find on your nightstand right now?
Lea Michele’s Brunette Ambition.
If you had the chance to co-write with one author, who would you choose? Why?
Mary Shelley. She is honest, bold, and unapologetically herself in her writing.
Describe your perfect reading atmosphere.
Outside on a calm, but slightly cold, day.
What might your personal library look like?
Filled with autobiographies, novels I read in high school, and old childhood classics.
If you could “re-make” a poorly written movie that was based on a
book, what movie would it be?
I’m more of a movie person anyways, so I don’t think I’d change anything.
What piece of literature can you reread over and over again?
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
Give us a quote from your favorite (or any) book/movie.

If you were invited to have coffee with any fictional character, who
would you most like to meet? Why?
Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice because he is simple, yet passionate. Also Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones because they’re heroic and complex.
