Hi, everyone! I know it’s been a while, but it’s now time for another round-up of posts here on the blog. Since it’s been a while, there are quite a few posts to let you know about. But, before we get to that, a quick reminder that the reading period for the next issue of the Jet Fuel Review is open until tomorrow, March 15th. If you want to get in a last-minute submission, click right here.

Although this is old news at this point, you may have noticed we updated the layout of the blog! I hope you like the way the blog looks now. You can read more about the layout change and the past 5 years of the Jet Fuel Review in this post.

We have some other exciting news — the Jet Fuel Review has its first podcast! On the Infinite Canvas podcast, you can hear Michael Lane and Dan Fioro talk about comics. You can listen to episode one and episode two right now — check it out!

If you’re looking for some writing advice, check out these recent posts on our blog. In the past couple of weeks, I’ve posted about reaching the end of the story you’re writing, moving on to a new writing project, and weaving together the different plot strings of your characters.

If your Spotify playlists all seem boring, check out the Jet Fuel Jukebox posts we have here on the blog. A few of these posts have piled up, so you can check out February 9, February 16, February 23, and March 1.

Of course, we’ve continued featuring new poems here on the blog. You can read Set Theory by Bonnie Jo Campbell, Scullers at Dawn by Arne Weingart, Daily Bread by Jane Clarke, Song at the Waterfront by Alison Prine, and Prologue to a Text by Clare Rossini.

Jake Johnson has reviewed two albums in recent weeks — Rihanna’s ANTI and Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo. Dan Fiorio reviewed the album, Is The Is Are by DIIV. Michael Lane also wrote some great film reviews, including the remake of Evil Dead, Deadpool, and The Witch.

One of our new assistant blog editors, Gina Capperino, posted the first installment of her blog series — Romantic Inquiries — which discussed the grown-up Scout Finch, who is portrayed in Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman.

And finally, we’ve introduced you all to some of the Jet Fuel Review‘s editors in recent weeks. You can learn more about Carrera Powell, our Media and Communications Editor and assistant Fiction Editor; Haley Renison, our Assistant Poetry Editor and Special Sections Editor; and Caitlyn Quinlan, our Assistant Marketing and Development Editor and Assistant Art & Design Editor.

Stay tuned for more posts here on the blog!

— Jet Fuel Blog Editor, Mary Egan
