Hello, and welcome back to Sabrina’s Book Corner! This week we are going to be discussing Nearly Gone by Elle Cosimano.
Nearly is just trying to get into a good college. She is competing with her best friend, along with another student, for a full-ride science/chemistry scholarship. All three are evenly matched in academic achievement, so the scholarship will be awarded to the student who scores highest in the class.
Nearly follows her own rules: no bad grades, no trouble, and no touching. The rules have always served her well, until there is a murder at Nearly’s school and the killer seems to be calling her out.
As bodies keep piling up and Nearly struggles to find a connection between the victims, herself, and the killer, she comes under suspicion from the cops. Nearly knows that bad boy Reece is really an undercover agent for the police and is investigating her, but if she doesn’t trust someone she could end up as the killer’s next victim. Can Nearly figure out the clues in time to prevent another murder, or will she become the next victim?
Nearly Gone will keep you on the edge of your seat as you attempt to figure out who the murderer is and why they are coming after Nearly. Just when you think you have everything figured out, the rules change. Cosimano writes a fast-paced murder mystery that leaves the reader wondering who they can trust — if they can trust anyone at all!
Happy Reading!
